Juventus Triumph 2-0 Against Monza Despite Second Half Red Card
Juventus bounced back with a 2-0 win over Monza in Serie A, scoring through Nico Gonzalez and Randal Kolo Muani. However, they had to play the entire second half with 10 men after Kenan Yildiz was shown a red card for violent conduct just before halftime.
The victory was crucial for Juventus following their 1-0 loss to Parma midweek. They were without several injured players including Dusan Vlahovic, Teun Koopmeiners, Federico Gatti, Arek Milik, Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal.
Nico Gonzalez opened the scoring in the 11th minute with an impressive long-range strike. Kolo Muani doubled Juventus’ lead in the 34th minute, ending his 79-day goal drought.
The game changed dramatically in first-half stoppage time when Yildiz was caught on camera elbowing Alessandro Bianco in the face off the ball. He was shown a straight red card after a VAR review.
Despite being a man down, Juventus managed to hold onto their lead in the second half. Monza created some chances but lacked the finishing touch to get back into the game.
The win helps Juventus stay in contention near the top of the Serie A table, while Monza’s struggles continue after their fourth consecutive defeat.
