Juventus dramatically salvaged a point against Roma in a thrilling 3-3 Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. The Bianconeri showed remarkable resilience, coming back from a two-goal deficit in the final 15 minutes to avoid a fourth consecutive league defeat.
Roma initially took the lead through Wesley Franca’s stunning 39th-minute goal. While Francisco Conceicao equalized for Juventus just two minutes into the second half with a spectacular strike, Roma quickly regained control. Evan Ndicka made it 2-1, and Donyell Malen extended their lead to 3-1 in the 65th minute, continuing his excellent form since his January transfer.
However, Juventus launched a late comeback, with substitute Jeremie Boga reducing the deficit before Federico Gatti’s dramatic last-minute equalizer secured a vital draw. Despite maintaining their six-match unbeaten streak against Roma, Juventus remain four points behind the Giallorossi, who hold fourth place in the Serie A table.
Juventus Player Ratings (4-2-3-1)
Mattia Perin – 4/10
Faced a challenging evening with poor defensive support, and despite one good save against Niccolo Pisilli, he generally lacked assurance.
Pierre Kalulu – 7/10
Delivered another strong performance, contributing effectively to both attack and defense.
Gleison Bremer – 5/10
An uncharacteristically shaky display for a top Serie A defender, notably struggling to mark Malen.
Lloyd Kelly – 4/10
Had a very difficult night, often out of position and slow to react, making Bremer’s performance seem relatively solid in comparison.
Andrea Cambiaso – 6/10
Put in effort but didn’t reach his usual high standards, particularly lacking in attacking impact.
Teun Koopmeiners – 7/10
A composed and influential presence in midfield, orchestrating play and serving as Juventus’ key driving force.
Khephren Thuram – 5/10
A disappointing outing for Thuram, who struggled physically and lacked authority in duels, unlike Koopmeiners.
Weston McKennie – 6/10
Had a quiet game after nearly scoring with a header early on, but otherwise lacked a decisive impact.
Kenan Yildiz – 4/10
A rare off-night for the usually impressive Yildiz, who failed to provide the attacking spark Juventus needed.
Francisco Conceicao – 8/10
Scored an absolutely spectacular equalizer that could be a strong contender for the Puskas Award.
Jonathan David – 3/10
Largely isolated and ineffective upfront, continuing his struggle for form. Juventus urgently needs Vlahovic back.
