La Liga Official Praises Russian Premier League’s Fan Engagement
Jaime Blanco, the director of La Liga’s club office, recently shared his thoughts on the development of the Russian Premier League (RPL). He noted that the RPL has made significant strides in enhancing the overall fan experience at matches.
“We’ve observed very interesting activities taking place during matches in Russia,” Blanco remarked. “These initiatives allow spectators to spend more time at the arena and consume more products. We’ve noticed that the RPL is increasingly investing in entertainment aspects of football. I believe you’ve surpassed us in this regard. We’ve also started introducing bonus performances by artists at stadiums and additional shows.”
Blanco made these comments during a business breakfast at the Winline Winter Cup RPL event. His observations highlight the growing emphasis on fan engagement and entertainment in Russian football.
The current RPL season has been highly competitive, with Krasnodar leading the championship after 18 rounds, having accumulated 39 points. Zenit St. Petersburg is in second place with the same number of points, while Spartak Moscow rounds out the top three with 37 points.
