La Liga Strikes Another Blow Against Piracy
La Liga has dealt another significant blow to piracy in football broadcasting. The organization announced in an official statement that it has successfully taken down two major illegal streaming platforms, causing substantial damage to pirate operations in the football industry.
The two platforms shut down, DazcFutbolios and RBTV77, had allowed over 400,000 users to illegally stream football matches. This action is part of La Liga’s ongoing efforts to combat piracy and protect intellectual property rights in sports broadcasting.
La Liga explained that these platforms operated both on websites and mobile apps, using Cloudflare’s infrastructure to mask their illegal activities. The organization emphasized the effectiveness of its specialized team in responding to audiovisual fraud through dynamic blocking measures.
Javier Tebas and La Liga have been battling piracy for years. This latest shutdown represents another victory in their ongoing struggle. La Liga stressed that protecting intellectual property rights remains one of its top priorities, as it works alongside telecom operators to identify and shut down illegal platforms.
The organization highlighted that these efforts are crucial for maintaining the integrity and economic sustainability of football clubs, as broadcasting rights are a primary source of income for the sports industry in general.
