Lamine Camara Ready for Monaco’s Key Champions League Encounter
AS Monaco’s manager Adi Hütter has confirmed that 21-year-old midfielder Lamine Camara will be available for the upcoming Champions League match against Benfica on Wednesday. Camara, who usually partners with captain Denis Zakaria in midfield, was absent from the recent 4-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain due to a minor knee injury sustained during the previous week’s victory over AJ Auxerre.
During a press conference on Monday, Hütter stated that Camara had resumed normal training, indicating his readiness for the crucial European fixture. This news comes as a boost for Monaco, who are looking to bounce back from their recent league defeat.
Injury Updates on Other Players
While Camara’s return is welcomed, Monaco will still be without Wilfried Singo, Jordan Teze, and Folarin Balogun for the upcoming match. However, Hütter hinted at the possibility of Singo’s involvement in the second leg of the Champions League play-off against Benfica next week in Lisbon, stating, “Singo is getting closer to rejoining the team. He might be an option for the Lisbon match… possibly.”
The return of key players like Camara could prove crucial for Monaco as they aim to progress in the Champions League and maintain their competitive edge in domestic competitions.
