Lautaro Martinez marked a Champions League milestone for Inter Milan and reaffirmed his dedication to the club, stating, “I would gladly play for Inter my whole career.”
In Rotterdam, he scored the decisive goal in a 2-0 victory against Feyenoord, following Marcus Thuram’s opening goal.
This goal was Martinez’s 18th in the Champions League for Inter, making him the club’s all-time leading scorer in the competition, surpassing Sandro Mazzola’s previous record of 17 goals in the old European Cup.

Speaking after the match, Martinez conveyed his passion for Inter and his future aspirations.
“I am incredibly proud, this is beyond my dreams. I have worked tirelessly, and those close to me know the journey I’ve undertaken. But this is just the beginning, and I am hungry for more.”
“I would happily dedicate my entire career to Inter, although many factors are involved. My happiness here is immense, and my contract renewal this summer reflects my commitment to stay.”
“Every morning, I am excited to train. My family is also content here.”
The 27-year-old, a World Cup winner, joined Inter in 2018 from Racing Avellaneda for €25 million.
His current contract extends to June 2029. He has achieved remarkable statistics with 146 goals and 49 assists in 319 appearances for Inter.
Despite links to major clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain, Martinez remains devoted to Inter.
