Lazio Faces Setback as Pedro and Noslin Ruled Out for Crucial Atalanta Match
Lazio’s preparations for their upcoming Serie A encounter with table-toppers Atalanta have hit a snag, as medical examinations reveal injuries to both Pedro and Tijjani Noslin, rendering them unavailable for the December 28 fixture.
Following their hard-fought 2-1 victory against Lecce, the Biancocelesti medical team conducted thorough assessments at the Villa Mafalda clinic. The results showed that Pedro has sustained a minor lesion in his right thigh’s semi-membrane, which is expected to sideline him for approximately two weeks. This injury not only rules him out of the Atalanta clash but also puts his participation in the January 5 Derby della Capitale against his former club Roma in jeopardy.
Noslin, who suffered an ankle sprain in the closing moments of the Lecce match, will also miss the Atalanta game. While the injury is not severe, the coaching staff is hopeful he will recover in time for the Roma encounter, marking the team’s first match of 2025.
These setbacks add to Lazio’s injury woes, with the team already missing Matias Vecino for an extended period of two to three months. As the squad prepares to resume training after a brief Christmas break, coach Marco Baroni faces the challenge of reorganizing his lineup for the crucial match against Atalanta.
