Lazio’s Disappointing Home Record in 2025: Two Months Without a Win
Lazio’s recent 1-1 draw against Torino marked their fourth consecutive home stalemate across Serie A and Europa League matches. This result further complicates their Champions League aspirations, as they now share 52 points with Roma and trail the 4th position by 4 points. Despite late away victories against Milan and Viktoria Plzen boosting morale, the team’s subsequent performances, particularly at home, have raised questions about their true potential.
The last time Lazio kept a clean sheet at Olimpico was on November 28, 2024, in a goalless Europa League match against Ludogorets. Since then, they’ve managed only three home wins across all competitions in four months. In Serie A, their sole home victory in 2025 came against Monza on February 9. Prior to that, excluding a 3-1 win over Real Sociedad in Europa League on January 23, their last league win at home was a 3-0 victory against Bologna on November 24.
Following the New Year, Lazio has recorded four draws (against Como, Napoli, Udinese, and Torino) and a 2-1 loss to Fiorentina. Their Serie A form in 2025 shows a mere 7 points from 6 matches, averaging just 1 point per game since December 16. This poor run of results not only jeopardizes their chances of securing a top-table finish but also threatens their European qualification hopes. Currently sitting in seventh place, Lazio risks missing out on all European competitions next season, pending the outcome of the Coppa Italia.
