Liverpool Approves Loan Deal for Young Goalkeeper Outside Transfer Window
Liverpool FC has reportedly come to an agreement to allow a 22-year-old player to depart Anfield outside of the regular transfer period.
According to reports from Sweden, Liverpool has finalized a deal with Utsiktens BK to loan out goalkeeper Jakub Ojrzynski. The 6’4″ Polish youth international will join the Swedish side on a short-term loan until the summer.
Ojrzynski joined Liverpool’s academy from Legia Warsaw in 2019 but has yet to make his first-team debut for the Reds. In recent seasons, he has gained experience through loan spells at clubs like Caernarfon Town, Radomiak Radom and Den Bosch.
A planned move to Cypriot second division team Spartakos Kitiou fell through last summer, resulting in Ojrzynski remaining with Liverpool where he has trained with the senior squad. This latest loan agreement will provide the young keeper an opportunity for regular first-team football in Sweden over the coming months.
The out-of-window loan move for Ojrzynski comes as Liverpool prepares for potential changes in the goalkeeping department this summer. The club is focused on resolving the futures of several key players whose contracts expire soon, including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
