Liverpool Could Make Gakpo Unstoppable by Signing “Miracle” Player

Liverpool are continuing their impressive form under new manager Arne Slot as they push for the Premier League title. However, the club is already looking ahead to potential summer reinforcements, with left-back emerging as a priority position.

According to transfer insider Graeme Bailey, Liverpool have been in contact with representatives of Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies about a possible move. The Canadian international’s contract expires in 2025, making him potentially available on a free transfer next year.

Davies would be an upgrade on current left-back Andy Robertson, who has shown signs of decline this season. The 23-year-old is renowned for his blistering pace and attacking prowess, ranking among Europe’s elite full-backs for progressive carries, successful dribbles, and chance creation.

His arrival could take Liverpool’s attack to another level, particularly benefiting in-form winger Cody Gakpo. Davies’ speed and dribbling ability would provide constant overlapping support, creating space for Gakpo to cut inside onto his dangerous right foot.

While Real Madrid are also interested, Liverpool will hope the lure of the Premier League and working under Slot can convince Davies to choose Anfield. Signing a player of his caliber would be a major statement of intent as Liverpool look to build on their success this season.

Davies has been described as a “miracle” by former teammate Ivan Perisic due to his exceptional physical attributes. His combination of pace, technique and attacking instincts could prove the perfect complement to Gakpo’s goalscoring ability from the left wing.

Though a January move is unlikely, Davies appears to be Liverpool’s top left-back target for the summer. His arrival could be the final piece of the puzzle as Slot aims to keep Liverpool competing at the highest level in the coming years.
