Liverpool are considering selling Federico Chiesa in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Italian winger’s future at Anfield is uncertain because he hasn’t been playing regularly this season.
Chiesa, aged 27, is reportedly open to leaving Liverpool, and the club is willing to consider offers for him.
Reports indicate that Liverpool are already making plans to move on from Chiesa, who previously played for Juventus and Fiorentina. He has found it challenging to secure consistent playing time this season.

Chiesa earns over €6 million per year at Liverpool, and his contract runs until June 2028. This high salary might make it difficult for him to find another European club willing to pay him the same amount. His transfer value is also currently unclear. Liverpool signed Chiesa from Juventus in the summer of 2024 for an initial €12 million fee, plus up to €3 million in potential add-ons.
Chiesa scored his only goal for Liverpool on January 11, 2025, in a 4-0 FA Cup victory against Accrington Stanley.
He has made only three Premier League appearances this season and needs two more to qualify for a Premier League winner’s medal.
Chiesa has not played for the Italian national team since last summer’s European Championship. Italy coach Luciano Spalletti wants Chiesa to play more regularly for his club before considering him for a national team call-up again.
