PSG manager Luis Enrique has acknowledged that he could not provide Randal Kolo Muani with the desired level of support during their time together in Paris. He also recognized the challenges players face when trying to settle in at Paris Saint-Germain.
Kolo Muani, who arrived at PSG in 2023 for over €85 million, found it hard to secure a consistent starting position. This ultimately led to his loan move to Juventus in January 2025 for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
In a recent interview, Kolo Muani spoke about the intense pressure on French players at PSG, especially those with high price tags. He admitted to struggling with this pressure and not seizing his opportunities, though he expressed no regrets.
Responding to these comments, Luis Enrique stated at a press conference that he generally has positive things to say about his players. He described Kolo Muani as a great player and reiterated that adapting to PSG can be difficult. He added that he has positive feelings towards Kolo Muani, even though he felt he couldn’t assist him as much as he would have liked.
Since joining Serie A, Kolo Muani has shown strong form, scoring five goals and providing one assist in his first six appearances.
Reports suggest Juventus are interested in keeping Kolo Muani beyond his current loan, but they would need to negotiate a new agreement with PSG as the current loan deal does not include a purchase option.
