Lyon’s Mahamadou Diawara Agrees Loan Move to Le Havre
Olympique Lyonnais and Le Havre AC have reached an agreement for the loan of 19-year-old midfielder Mahamadou Diawara until the end of the current season. The deal is reported to be a straight loan without any option for a permanent transfer.
Diawara, who has seen limited playing time at Lyon this season, had expressed his desire to leave the club temporarily. The young player has made only four brief substitute appearances since October, prompting his search for more regular first-team opportunities.
While Lyon had also received offers from Stade de Reims and Swiss club Servette FC, Diawara has chosen Le Havre after careful consideration of his options. The midfielder hopes this move will provide him with valuable playing time as he looks to further his development.
Le Havre, currently battling to avoid relegation from Ligue 1, will welcome Diawara’s arrival as they seek to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season. The loan move offers a chance for the talented youngster to gain crucial experience in France’s top flight while potentially helping Le Havre in their fight for survival.
