Lyon’s Starting Lineup Against Nantes: Fofana Sidelined, Maitland-Niles Returns

Olympique Lyonnais will be missing Malick Fofana for their upcoming match against FC Nantes. The Belgian player was substituted during the first half of Lyon’s midweek draw with Fenerbahçe due to a hip injury. Despite showing improvement on Friday, Fofana has not recovered sufficiently to participate in the Nantes game. However, his absence is expected to be brief, with a likely return next week, much to the relief of manager Pierre Sage.

On a positive note, Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been included in the squad after recovering from an illness that prevented him from traveling to Turkey for the midweek match.
