Man Utd Should Promote Young Striker Biancheri Amid Hojlund’s Struggles
Manchester United missed out on signing Mathys Tel in January, with the French forward joining Tottenham on loan instead. This has left United short of attacking options, especially with Marcus Rashford and Antony also departing on loan.
Rasmus Hojlund has struggled for consistency this season, scoring just 7 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions. The Danish striker has failed to replicate his strong form from the end of last season when he scored in 6 consecutive Premier League games.
With United’s attacking struggles continuing, manager Ruben Amorim may need to look to the academy for solutions. One exciting prospect is 17-year-old striker Gabriele Biancheri, who has been in outstanding form for United’s youth teams this season.
Biancheri has scored 16 goals in just 17 appearances for United’s academy sides, averaging an impressive 1.88 goal involvements per 90 minutes played. The Welsh youth international recently scored a hat-trick in an FA Youth Cup match against Coventry City.
While Biancheri has been sidelined with injury recently, his prolific scoring record suggests he could provide a spark for United’s misfiring attack if given a first-team opportunity. With United’s season faltering, promoting the in-form academy star could give the team a much-needed boost in the final months of the campaign.
