Manchester City Aims to Sign Promising PSG Striker for Free
According to reports, Manchester City has devised a strategy to acquire a talented young striker from Paris Saint-Germain without any transfer fee. The player in question is set to become a free agent at the end of the current season.
Despite already having prolific goalscorer Erling Haaland in their ranks, City manager Pep Guardiola appears interested in bolstering his attacking options. The club has been linked with several forwards, including Lille’s Jonathan David and Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres.
However, the latest target for the Sky Blues is 18-year-old PSG striker Mahamadou Sangaré. The young talent has impressed in the UEFA Youth League this season, notably scoring hat-tricks against Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid.
City’s plan involves signing Sangaré for free and potentially loaning him to their sister club Troyes. This move could provide the perfect opportunity for the striker to develop without immediately competing for a starting position against Haaland.
Sangaré has been described as a “deadly” finisher by scouts, with his partnership with fellow PSG youth player Ibrahim Mbaye receiving particular praise. His record of nine goals and two assists in 11 UEFA Youth League matches this season highlights his potential.
While there may be competition from German clubs for Sangaré’s signature, Manchester City’s interest in the young striker demonstrates their commitment to planning for the future and maintaining a strong attacking lineup.
