Manchester City Pursuing Talented PSG Youth Striker
Reports suggest that Manchester City has set its sights on acquiring Mahamadou Sangaré, an 18-year-old rising star from Paris Saint-Germain’s youth academy. The young striker has caught attention with his impressive performance in the UEFA Youth League this season, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in just six matches.
Despite his success in the youth ranks, Sangaré appears hesitant to wait for first-team opportunities at PSG. The French youth international, who has yet to make his senior debut, is likely to depart when his contract expires this summer. His goal-scoring prowess is evident, with an impressive tally of 33 goals in 35 games for PSG’s Under-19 team.
Sangaré’s talent has not gone unnoticed, with several Bundesliga clubs also expressing interest. However, Manchester City’s potential approach involves signing the player and then loaning him to ESTAC Troyes, a Ligue 2 club within the City Group network. As of now, negotiations are still in the early stages.
The young striker’s potential move to Manchester City could provide him with a pathway to top-flight football while allowing him to continue his development in a familiar league setting. This transfer, if realized, would represent another example of City’s strategy of identifying and nurturing young talent from across Europe.
