Manchester City has reportedly increased their negotiations with representatives of Florian Wirtz, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder from Bayer Leverkusen, according to Football Insider.
Sources indicate that the “Citizens” are keen to finalize the deal in the summer of 2025.
Bayern Munich is also interested in Wirtz, but City is prepared to offer more favorable terms to both the player and Bayer Leverkusen.
In the current season, Wirtz has played 39 matches across all competitions, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists. His contract with Bayer Leverkusen runs until the summer of 2027, and his market value, according to Transfermarkt, is estimated at 140 million euros.
