Marcus Thuram Opens Up About Inter Milan’s Aspirations and Praises Teammate Lautaro Martinez

In a recent interview with CBS Sports Golazo, Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram shared his thoughts on the team’s upcoming challenges and ambitions. The son of former football star Lilian Thuram expressed optimism about Inter’s prospects in Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Champions League.

When asked about the possibility of winning a treble, Thuram stated, “We believe the best is yet to come. Our team consists of champions who shine in crucial matches. While we haven’t explicitly discussed a treble in the locker room, we’re focused on winning each upcoming game.”

Thuram also spoke about his role as a striker, explaining the differences between playing as a winger and a center-forward. He mentioned adapting to playing with his back to goal and praised his striking partner, Lautaro Martinez, calling him “one of the best attackers in the world.”

Regarding their partnership, Thuram said, “Lautaro and I constantly communicate on and off the field to improve our game and support the team. I believe we’re doing well together.”

When asked to compare the current Inter Milan team with the treble-winning side of 2010, Thuram humbly stated, “They won everything, while we haven’t won anything yet. That was an incredible team.”
