Marotta: No Real Offers for Calhanoglu from Turkish Clubs

Inter Milan`s CEO Beppe Marotta has dismissed recent speculation regarding midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu`s potential move to Turkish clubs Fenerbahce or Galatasaray. Marotta stated that these rumors are baseless and no actual offers have been received.

“I want to clarify this situation out of respect for both the player and Inter,” Marotta explained to reporters at a sponsorship event. “These are purely media speculations. We have not received any requests, so there is nothing to consider or respond to.”

Marotta confirmed that Calhanoglu is expected to join the team for pre-season training on July 23rd. When asked if the club had discussed the upcoming season with Calhanoglu, Marotta replied, “Of course, we communicate regularly. Like other players, he has never expressed any desire to leave.”

Despite ongoing reports in Turkish media suggesting Calhanoglu`s interest in joining Galatasaray, his childhood favorite club, Marotta and Inter`s sporting director Piero Ausilio had previously stated that any offers received were far below their valuation of the player.

While Fenerbahce has also reportedly shown interest, it appears that these transfer rumors are primarily circulating in the media rather than through official channels. Inter Milan maintains that Calhanoglu remains an integral part of their squad for the upcoming season.
