Marseille Sets Sights on Defensive Reinforcements: Sidillia and Danilo on Radar

Olympique de Marseille is gearing up to strengthen their defensive lineup during the upcoming January transfer window. Manager Roberto De Zerbi, dissatisfied with recent performances, has instructed the club to secure a right-back and two center-backs.

The recruitment team at Marseille has identified two potential targets. Freiburg’s Kiliann Sidillia, a 22-year-old French Olympian, is being considered for the right-back position. Despite limited playing time in the Bundesliga this season, Sidillia could prove to be a valuable addition to Les Phocéens.

Another defensive option on Marseille’s radar is Juventus’ experienced right-back, Danilo. The 33-year-old Brazilian, known for his versatility in playing both right-back and center-back positions, could be available at a reduced price as his contract with the Turin-based club is set to expire in June. Danilo’s previous stint with Manchester City adds to his appeal as a seasoned defender.

As the winter transfer window approaches, Marseille’s pursuit of these defensive reinforcements signals their intent to shore up their backline and improve their overall performance in the latter half of the season.
