Marseille’s Anticipated Starting Lineup for Montpellier Clash
Olympique de Marseille is set to face Montpellier HSC in their upcoming match, with some changes expected in the starting lineup. Amine Gouiri is likely to return to the first team, while Jonathan Rowe, who surprisingly started against AS Monaco last week, is expected to be relegated to the bench.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi has no new injury concerns to deal with as the team returns to the Vélodrome. However, Leonardo Balerdi is still not fully fit to start, though his return is on the horizon. Luiz Felipe, included in the squad, is not anticipated to be in the starting eleven. As a result, a makeshift back three consisting of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Derek Corenlius, and Michael Murillo is expected.
In midfield, Ismaël Bennacer may have to settle for a substitute role, with Valentin Rongier likely to partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Despite underwhelming performances in their previous match, Luis Henrique and Mason Greenwood are expected to retain their positions in the lineup.
Probable Marseille Starting XI vs Montpellier:
Geronimo Ruli; Geoffrey Kondogbia, Derek Cornelius, Michael Murillo; Ulisses García, Valentin Rongier, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Luis Henrique; Adrien Rabiot, Amine Gouiri, Mason Greenwood.
