Martínez Deems Vinicius Jr.’s Suspension Unfair

Barcelona central defender Iñigo Martínez has voiced his dissatisfaction with the length of the suspension given to Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior.

Martínez stated, “I find it unfair. Years ago, I was suspended for four matches for a much lesser offense, and nobody talked about it. We should not remain silent about these injustices,” as quoted by Barca Universal.

In the 12th round of La Liga, the 24-year-old forward was sent off in the match against Valencia (2:1). Vinicius pushed the opposing team’s goalkeeper, Stole Dimitrievski, after Dimitrievski touched his head. In addition to missing two games, the Brazilian player is obliged to pay a fine of 600 euros.
