Massimiliano Allegri Communicates Plans to Real Madrid if Given Job

Significant uncertainty surrounds Real Madrid’s future beyond the current season, encompassing both the playing squad and the crucial managerial role. It appears Los Blancos are poised for their third coaching change within a year.

Following the January appointment of Alvaro Arbeloa as Xabi Alonso’s replacement, Real Madrid has reportedly not witnessed the desired improvements. With less than two months under Arbeloa’s leadership, the club’s hierarchy is said to be questioning his suitability and actively exploring alternative candidates for the summer.

Massimiliano Allegri Outlines His Vision to Real Madrid

Reports from Italy this week indicate that Real Madrid has approached current AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri regarding a potential leadership role. Allegri had previously been a candidate for President Florentino Perez in 2021 when the club sought a successor for Zinedine Zidane. According to TuttoSport, via Sport, Allegri has now conveyed his strategic plans for the upcoming summer if he were to be appointed.

Allegri’s strategy reportedly includes acquiring an experienced central defender and a dominant midfielder to orchestrate play, with Adrien Rabiot, who previously excelled under him at San Siro, identified as a potential target for the latter role. Furthermore, Allegri envisions Luka Modric returning to the Bernabéu, not as a player, but as an assistant. This move is intended to leverage Modric’s deep club knowledge, dressing room respect, and immediate positive influence on team dynamics.

Real Madrid’s Limited Pool of Candidates

Should they manage to entice him out of his announced break, Jurgen Klopp remains a probable target for Real Madrid, although the German coach has publicly expressed disinterest so far. Unai Emery of Aston Villa is another name under consideration, yet President Perez reportedly finds a scarcity of candidates truly compelling enough for the role.
