Mbangula and Bremer Bid Farewell to Ex-Juventus Manager Motta
In an unexpected turn of events, only two Juventus players have publicly acknowledged the departure of former head coach Thiago Motta. Young striker Samuel Mbangula and defender Gleison Bremer took to social media to express their gratitude and best wishes for the Italian-Brazilian manager.
Mbangula, a promising Belgian forward, shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram story, saying: “Thank you for everything, coach. I can never thank you enough for trusting me from day one and allowing me to realize part of my dream. You always wanted the best for us since your arrival and demonstrated it. I wish you all the best for the future!”
Similarly, Bremer posted: “Thank you, coach, to you and your entire staff. I truly wish you all the best for the future.”
Motta was relieved of his duties as Juventus manager on Sunday, with Igor Tudor stepping in as his replacement. The lack of farewell messages from other squad members suggests that a strained relationship with the dressing room may have been a significant factor in Motta’s dismissal.
During his tenure, Motta showed particular faith in Mbangula, surprisingly including the 19-year-old in the starting lineup for Juventus’ Serie A opener against Como. The young Belgian repaid this trust with a goal and an assist. Throughout the season, Mbangula made 30 appearances under Motta’s guidance, totaling 1,075 minutes of play and contributing four goals and five assists.
As the team transitions to new leadership, Mbangula will need to prove himself once again to earn the confidence of the incoming coach, Tudor, who has a proven track record of developing young talent.
