Milan and Tottenham Negotiating €30M Fee for Defender Tomori
AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur are currently in discussions regarding a potential €30 million transfer fee for Rossoneri center-back Fikayo Tomori, according to recent reports from Italy.
On Thursday, it was confirmed that Spurs had approached Milan about acquiring Tomori, who has also drawn interest from Juventus and Aston Villa during the January transfer window. Sky Sport Italia reports that Tottenham is pursuing a permanent deal for the former Chelsea defender this month, with negotiations centered around a €30 million price tag.
However, transfer expert Matteo Moretto states that Tottenham’s offer has not yet reached Milan’s €30 million asking price. Moretto adds that Tomori himself has not given final approval for the move at this stage.
Tomori had fallen out of favor at Milan earlier this season under previous manager Paulo Fonseca. However, he was immediately reinstated to the starting lineup when Sergio Conceicao took over as manager in late December. Tomori’s first two starts under Conceicao came in Supercoppa Italiana victories over Juventus and Inter, helping Milan claim their first trophy since the 2021-22 Scudetto.
As negotiations continue between the clubs, it remains to be seen if a deal will be finalized before the January transfer window closes. Milan appear willing to sell at the right price, but Tottenham must increase their offer to meet the Rossoneri’s valuation of the 25-year-old England international defender.
