Milan bounce back with 2-0 victory at Lecce

AC Milan earned their first Serie A points of the season with a 2-0 win away to Lecce, thanks to goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic. The Rossoneri rebounded from their opening day home defeat to claim an important victory.

Milan had an early goal disallowed when Matteo Gabbia`s header was ruled out for a push. The visitors created several chances, with Loftus-Cheek twice denied by Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone.

The breakthrough finally came in the 66th minute, as Loftus-Cheek flicked in a header from Luka Modric`s free kick. Substitute Pulisic then sealed the win late on, capitalizing on a defensive error to slot home Milan`s second.

It was a morale-boosting result for Milan after their disappointing start to the campaign. The victory moves them up the Serie A table and relieves some early pressure on the team.

Lecce battled hard but were ultimately outclassed by the visitors. Milan`s quality told in the end as they claimed an important three points on the road to kickstart their season.
