Following AC Milan`s surprising 2-1 defeat to Cremonese in their Serie A opener, sporting director Igli Tare had a busy Sunday morning at the club`s headquarters. According to reports from Sky Sport Italia, Tare met with head coach Massimiliano Allegri and the representatives of Danish striker Conrad Harder.
Allegri arrived at Casa Milan just after noon to discuss potential transfer moves with Tare. The Rossoneri are still in the market for a center-forward, despite sending Nigerian striker Victor Boniface back to Germany after medical tests raised concerns about his fitness. While this doesn`t necessarily mean the deal for Boniface is off, Milan are taking their time before making a final decision.
Interestingly, Tare also held talks with the agents of Sporting CP striker Conrad Harder on the same morning. Negotiations between Milan and Harder`s representatives are ongoing, suggesting the club is exploring multiple options to strengthen their attack.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there`s a possibility that Milan could sign both Boniface and Harder, or another forward, in the closing days of the summer transfer window. The club appears to be keeping its options open as it looks to bolster its attacking lineup for the season ahead.
These meetings highlight Milan`s determination to reinforce their squad following the disappointing start to their Serie A campaign. With the transfer window nearing its end, fans will be eagerly awaiting news of any potential signings to help the team bounce back from their opening day setback.
