Recent reports indicate that while no definitive agreement has been reached between Igli Tare and AC Milan following their latest meeting, the former Lazio executive is moving closer to becoming the club’s new sporting director.

Confirmed sources state that Tare met with Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani in Rome today, marking their first face-to-face encounter after previous phone discussions. Tare had also previously met with consultant Zlatan Ibrahimovic and club owner Gerry Cardinale in London this February.

Multiple Italian media outlets, including La Gazzetta dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia, express confidence that despite no final decision being made, the meeting was productive. Both Milan and Tare appear keen to further explore the details of a potential agreement.

Milan Favors Tare for Sporting Director Position

Tare is expected to command a lower salary compared to Fabio Paratici, who was previously close to signing before negotiations unexpectedly fell through.
