Milan is reportedly closely monitoring Giovanni Fabbian from Bologna. The young midfielder is seen as a potentially more affordable alternative to Torino’s Samuele Ricci for strengthening their midfield in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Fabbian, 22, moved to Bologna from Inter last summer. Inter included a €12 million buy-back clause in the deal, giving them the option to re-sign him for a relatively low fee.

However, Inter has until next summer to exercise this buy-back clause. It is considered unlikely they will do so, especially after reportedly securing Petar Sučić from Dinamo Zagreb for a higher transfer fee.
Milan Sees Fabbian as Ideal Signing Amidst Inter’s Hesitation
Milan is planning a significant squad revamp at the end of the current season. Their focus is on bringing in young Italian talent to build a stronger team identity. Fabbian’s profile fits perfectly with these objectives.

Despite Inter’s buy-back advantage, Milan could potentially move quickly in the coming months to secure Fabbian. His current valuation is considerably less than their primary target, Samuele Ricci, for whom Torino is expected to demand around €30-35 million.
