Milan Players Frustrated with Recurring Match Pattern
AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders and Luka Jovic have expressed their frustration following the team’s 2-2 draw against Fiorentina, highlighting a concerning pattern in their recent performances.
Reijnders pointed out the team’s consistent poor starts, stating, “We begin by conceding two goals, and it’s the same every match. We try to recover, but it’s challenging when we start like this.” The Dutch midfielder emphasized the need to keep fighting for the club and win as many games as possible in both Serie A and Coppa Italia.
Jovic Hopes for More Playing Time
Luka Jovic, who was named Serie A Man of the Match after his impressive substitute performance, echoed Reijnders’ sentiments. “I’m not sure what to say, but we need to find solutions,” Jovic remarked. He highlighted the team’s need to change their approach, especially in the first half of matches.
Jovic, who has limited playing time this season, expressed his desire for more opportunities: “I try my best with the playing time I’m given. I want to play every match, I do my best, and I hope the coach will notice.”
The draw against Fiorentina, while thrilling, does little to advance either team’s European qualification aspirations. Both Milan and Fiorentina will need to address their performance issues as they head into the final stretch of the season.
