Milan Retains Camarda as Gimenez Arrives
AC Milan has decided to keep young talent Francesco Camarda at the club, cancelling his planned loan move to Monza. This decision comes as the Rossoneri prepare to welcome new signing Santiago Gimenez and bid farewell to Alvaro Morata, who is joining Galatasaray.
The change of plans regarding Camarda’s loan was prompted by Monza’s recent 1-0 defeat to Verona, which has left them at the bottom of Serie A with only 13 points from 23 matches. Their likely relegation at the end of the season made the loan less appealing for Milan.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now in an advisory role at Milan, is reported to have intervened to keep the 16-year-old Camarda at the club. The young striker will continue his development with Milan’s youth team in Serie C.
Meanwhile, Santiago Gimenez is en route to Italy to complete his transfer from Feyenoord. The deal is expected to cost Milan €32 million plus bonuses and a percentage of any future sale. Gimenez shared an image of his private jet on social media, indicating his imminent arrival.
As these changes unfold, Alvaro Morata is leaving Milan for Galatasaray. The Spanish striker is scheduled for a medical examination with the Turkish club this afternoon.
These moves signal a significant shift in Milan’s attacking options as they look to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the season and beyond.
