Milan Škriniar Secures Loan Move to Fenerbahçe from Paris Saint-Germain
Turkish Süper Lig powerhouse Fenerbahçe has successfully acquired the services of Slovak central defender Milan Škriniar on a loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Both clubs have confirmed the transfer of the 29-year-old player.
The loan move was initially delayed due to PSG reaching their maximum quota for loaned-out senior players. However, the recent €80 million transfer of Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig created an opening, allowing PSG to proceed with Škriniar’s loan to José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe.
Škriniar joined PSG as a free agent after his contract with Inter Milan expired. He is currently under contract with the French champions until 2028. Despite being a regular starter last season, appearing in 37 matches, Škriniar has fallen out of favor with current manager Luis Enrique.
It’s worth noting that the loan agreement does not include an option for Fenerbahçe to make the transfer permanent. This suggests that PSG may be looking to sell Škriniar outright during the upcoming summer transfer window.
