AC Milan have made a formal bid to sign Nigerian striker Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen, according to reports. The Serie A giants have submitted an offer which is currently being reviewed by the Bundesliga club.
Multiple sources, including Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, have confirmed Milan`s offer for Boniface. The player has reportedly already agreed to personal terms with Milan and is waiting for the green light to complete the move.
This development comes as Milan continue to pursue Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund. However, negotiations for the Danish striker have proven difficult, as Hojlund is seeking a permanent transfer rather than a loan deal.
Milan recently sent an intermediary to London to hold talks with Hojlund`s father in an attempt to persuade the former Atalanta player. But if those efforts fail, a deal for Boniface appears increasingly likely.
The Rossoneri have revived their interest in Boniface as an alternative to Hojlund. With personal terms already agreed, Milan now await Bayer Leverkusen`s response to their formal offer for the Nigerian international.
