Milan’s Busy Transfer Deadline Day: Joao Felix, Sottil, and Bondo Join the Club
AC Milan had a frantic end to the transfer window, successfully securing three new players just before the deadline. The Italian giants managed to bring in Joao Felix on loan from Chelsea, Riccardo Sottil on loan with an option to buy from Fiorentina, and Warren Bondo on a permanent deal from Monza.
The most notable acquisition was Joao Felix, who arrived on a loan deal costing Milan only €2 million plus his wages for the remainder of the season. The Portuguese international was quickly shuttled to the club’s headquarters to finalize the paperwork after landing at Malpensa airport.
Following Ismael Bennacer’s loan move to Olympique Marseille, Milan replaced him by signing Warren Bondo from Monza for a reported €10 million plus bonuses. The young midfielder penned a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Rossoneri. As part of this deal, Milan’s Kevin Zeroli, an Italy U21 international, moved to Monza on a short-term loan.
The final piece of Milan’s transfer puzzle was Riccardo Sottil, who joined from Fiorentina on a loan deal worth €1 million. The agreement includes an option for Milan to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season for €11 million.
These last-minute additions demonstrate Milan’s ambition to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level in both domestic and European competitions. The new signings bring a mix of youth, talent, and experience that could prove crucial in the latter half of the season.
