Monaco Reaches Deal with Frankfurt for Midfielder Dina Ebimbe
AS Monaco has reportedly come to an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt for the acquisition of midfielder Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe. The 24-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain player is expected to undergo a medical examination this evening.
According to sources, Monaco will pay €1 million for an initial loan deal lasting until the end of the season. The club will then have the option to make the transfer permanent for an additional €10 million. Monaco successfully outbid several other interested clubs to secure Dina Ebimbe’s services.
This move comes as Monaco seeks to bolster its midfield following the departure of academy graduate Eliot Matazo. The 22-year-old Matazo has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with English Championship side Hull City after failing to establish himself in Monaco’s long-term plans.
Dina Ebimbe’s arrival is seen as a strategic reinforcement for Monaco’s midfield, providing additional depth and options for the team as they continue their campaign in Ligue 1 and other competitions.
