Monza coach Alessandro Nesta spoke to Sky Sports after the defeat against Inter Milan. Here’s what he said:
Disappointment – “We played a good game, the game plan was right and effective. During the match, we were a bit too deep, but that also depends on Inter. I’m happy for the players, we made a good impression. These aren’t the matches we have to win.”
Restarting – “We restart from courage. If we play like this, we can trouble anyone. We’ve had difficulties this season, but today we sent a good signal. The team is alive, and I will believe until the end.”
Sensations – “I see this as growth. I go onto the pitch and show my face even if we lose. We lost important players in January, and others are injured. If you stay at home, you don’t improve. I go home with something that didn’t work, I believed tonight.”
Survival – “I strongly believe in it, otherwise I would have stayed home. If we win, we’ll have an open-top bus parade in Monza and we’ll go down in history. I tell the guys this every day.”
