Napoli manager Antonio Conte has stated that Inter Milan’s recent victory does not alter Napoli’s approach, as they remain focused on their upcoming game against Fiorentina. He emphasized the importance of maximizing the team’s current resources.
The match against Fiorentina is scheduled to take place at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at 2:00 PM GMT.
Conte acknowledged that while Inter’s narrow win against Monza might have seemed predictable, every game requires effort and must be won on the pitch.
“Whether we are facing the league leaders or the bottom-ranked team, our focus remains unchanged. We are concentrating on our own development and building upon the progress demonstrated in our previous match against Inter,” Conte told DAZN.
Tactical Changes at Napoli

Due to ongoing absences of key players like Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, David Neres, and Pasquale Mazzocchi, Billy Gilmour will continue in midfield. Philip Billing, who scored the equalizing goal against Inter, will start on the bench.
Conte explained that the shift from a 4-3-3 to a 3-5-2 formation in recent weeks was a necessary adjustment due to player availability and injuries.
“In these situations, we need to utilize our available squad effectively. We have discovered new solutions with players like Jack Raspadori and Gilmour. Raspadori has consistently performed well and remained patient, making it appropriate to give opportunities to deserving players,” Conte added.
Napoli are seeking their first home league win in six weeks, since their 1-1 draw against Inter Milan.
