Italian media outlets are reporting that Napoli and AC Milan have reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of United States Men`s National Team (USMNT) midfielder Yunus Musah. The 22-year-old versatile player is on the verge of joining the reigning Serie A champions.
The negotiations have progressed rapidly, with initial reports of Napoli`s interest surfacing on Tuesday morning. Now, the Partenopei are close to finalizing the deal with the Rossoneri. According to Sky Sport Italia and other sources, the two clubs have verbally agreed on a transfer fee of €25 million.
If the deal goes through, AC Milan will make a profit on Musah, having signed him from Valencia for just over €20 million in the summer of 2023. The American midfielder is expected to replace Phillip Billing in the Napoli squad, as the Danish player is set to return to AFC Bournemouth when his loan spell ends.
Napoli`s transfer activities don`t stop with Musah. The club is also on the brink of signing six-time Premier League winner Kevin De Bruyne, who is scheduled to undergo a medical examination on Thursday.
