Napoli Director Manna Outlines Long-Term Vision and Transfer Hurdles

Napoli’s director Giovanni Manna has shed light on the club’s future plans and recent transfer market challenges. Speaking ahead of the match against Udinese, Manna emphasized the importance of unity and transparency in building a sustainable project at the club.

“To achieve results and build something for the long term, we must be united and work together both on and off the field. This unified approach began last summer and is already showing positive results,” Manna stated in an interview.

Addressing comments made by coach Antonio Conte about the need for infrastructure improvements, Manna acknowledged: “A project involves many aspects. The coach’s perspective is comprehensive, drawing from his extensive experience. We’re fortunate to collaborate with him daily. We’re taking steps to enhance our training facilities and stadium, which are crucial for growth and solidifying our position.”

Manna also addressed the recent transfer window challenges, particularly the situation with Kvaratskhelia and unsuccessful negotiations for players like Garnacho and Adeyemi. “In today’s football landscape, it’s important to be transparent about these issues,” he explained.

Regarding new signing Noah Okafor, Manna said: “Okafor possesses the qualities we were seeking – the ability to take on defenders and attack the near post. While he’s currently lacking match fitness, we’re confident he’ll reach peak condition soon.”

As Napoli faces some injury concerns, including Mathias Olivera and Leonardo Spinazzola, the team looks to maintain its strong position in Serie A. The match against Udinese presents an opportunity for Napoli to extend their lead at the top of the table following Inter’s recent setback.
