Newcastle United Target AC Milan Winger as Almiron Replacement
Newcastle United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze. The Nigerian international could potentially fill the void left by Miguel Almiron, who recently completed a move back to Atlanta United.
According to reports from Italy, AC Milan are looking to raise funds and have made Chukwueze available for transfer. The 25-year-old, who earns £82,000 per week, has also been offered to other Premier League clubs including Everton, Crystal Palace, and Tottenham.
Chukwueze is known for his tricky dribbling and left-footed play, drawing comparisons to former Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben. His potential arrival could provide an upgrade on the right wing for Newcastle, offering both depth and quality to compete with Jacob Murphy.
During his time at Villarreal, Chukwueze made 207 appearances, scoring 37 goals and providing 31 assists. His move to AC Milan has been less prolific, with 7 goals and 4 assists in 57 appearances so far.
While Chukwueze is reportedly happy at Milan, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe may attempt to convince the player of the project at St. James’ Park. The Magpies are looking to strengthen their squad as they balance domestic and European commitments.
Any potential deal may face obstacles, as Chukwueze is content at Milan. However, if Howe views him as the ideal replacement for Almiron, Newcastle could make a strong push to secure his services before the transfer window closes.
