Newell’s President Updates on Perez Transfer to Inter Milan
Ignacio Astore, president of Newell’s Old Boys, is currently in Milan for negotiations regarding the transfer of midfielder Tomas Perez to Inter Milan. Speaking to reporters outside his hotel, Astore provided an update on the deal’s progress:
“We’re very close to finalizing the transfer, but there are still some details to iron out regarding bonuses. Discussions will continue today and tomorrow. The transfer fee is expected to be around 7 to 8 million euros, possibly slightly more. We’ve agreed on the overall amount, but we’re still negotiating the split between the fixed fee and bonuses.”
When asked about the potential inclusion of another player, Silvestri, in the deal, Astore clarified: “No, Silvestri is not part of the current negotiations.”
Astore concluded by saying, “We have one final meeting scheduled. After that, I’ll provide a definitive answer before returning to Argentina.”
This transfer represents a significant move for both clubs, with Inter Milan looking to strengthen their midfield options and Newell’s Old Boys set to receive a substantial fee for their talented player.
