Napoli`s latest signing Noa Lang has shared insights into his move from PSV, including a conversation with head coach Antonio Conte and his initial experiences with the Italian language. The 26-year-old Dutch winger completed his €28 million transfer earlier this week.
During his introductory press conference, Lang disclosed that the first Italian word he learned was “stanco,” meaning “tired.” This comes as no surprise given Conte`s reputation for demanding training sessions, especially during preseason.
“The training here is quite intense,” Lang remarked. “In the Netherlands, preseason focuses heavily on ball work. Here, there`s a lot more running involved. It`s good for me to step out of my comfort zone and really push myself to become the best player I can be.”
Lang also revealed details of his conversation with Conte prior to finalizing his move to Napoli. “In our first call, Conte immediately discussed tactics,” Lang explained. “This was even before I had decided to join Napoli. I believe he will be instrumental in my development. From the very beginning, our conversations centered around tactics and defensive work.”
The Dutch international expressed his desire to improve tactically and defensively, viewing Conte as the ideal coach to help him achieve these goals. Lang`s transfer marks Napoli`s third signing of the summer, following Kevin De Bruyne and Luca Marianucci.
As Lang adapts to life in Italy and Conte`s rigorous training methods, Napoli fans eagerly anticipate seeing how the talented winger will contribute to the team`s performance in the upcoming season.
