Recent reports suggest that Victor Osimhen has reached an agreement on personal terms with Galatasaray. However, the Turkish club has yet to finalize a deal with Napoli for the striker`s transfer.
Osimhen, who had an impressive loan spell at Galatasaray last season, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 appearances, is expected to leave Napoli this summer. The Nigerian international has a €75 million release clause in his contract, valid for clubs outside Serie A.
While Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal was prepared to meet the release clause, Osimhen ultimately decided against the move. Now, Galatasaray is looking to secure the 26-year-old`s services on a permanent basis following his successful stint in Istanbul.
Reported Agreement Between Osimhen and Galatasaray
According to reports from Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Osimhen and Galatasaray have agreed on a three-year contract with an option for an additional year. However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano adds that while Galatasaray has submitted an initial offer to Napoli, it is unlikely to meet the Italian club`s expectations.
Galatasaray`s opening bid is reported to be €50 million plus up to €5 million in bonuses. Napoli, however, is pushing for a figure closer to Osimhen`s €75 million release clause.
As negotiations continue, football fans eagerly await the outcome of this potential high-profile transfer.
