Ousmane Dembélé: Best Goals-Per-Game Ratio in PSG’s QSI Era

Ousmane Dembélé (27) is showcasing exceptional form for Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025-26 season, currently leading Ligue 1 with an impressive 20 goals.

The 2018 World Cup champion with the French national team further boosted his goal count by adding two more goals in Saturday’s 4-1 victory against Stade Rennais, bringing his tally to four in his most recent three league appearances.

Moreover, he has netted five goals in the UEFA Champions League, establishing himself as the most prolific forward in Europe’s top five leagues at present. He is also currently tied for the most non-penalty goals in Europe this season, with 19.

Currently, Dembélé boasts an average of 1.1 goals per 90 minutes. This remarkable statistic represents the highest goals-per-game ratio for any PSG player since the QSI takeover in 2011.

This surpasses even Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s outstanding 2015-16 campaign in Paris, where the Swedish striker averaged 1.09 goals per game across all competitions. It also exceeds Kylian Mbappé’s (26) best performance; the club’s all-time leading scorer achieved his peak ratio of 1.04 goals per game in the 2022-23 season.

The former Barcelona forward has registered an average of 5.5 shots per game this season, marking the highest average for a top goalscorer on the team since Ibrahimovic in 2015-16 (5.3).

PSG will be hoping for this level of performance when they face Liverpool at Anfield in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, in a crucial match where they need to overturn a deficit.

Dembélé and his teammates were unable to find the net in the first leg at the Parc des Princes last week, suffering a 1-0 defeat.
