Ousmane Dembélé’s Availability for PSG’s Crucial Match Against Arsenal in Question
Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Ousmane Dembélé (27) might not be able to play in the upcoming UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal, as confirmed by PSG manager Luis Enrique. This news comes after Dembélé scored the only goal in the first leg but was substituted in the 70th minute due to injury.
The French international, who has been in exceptional form this season with an impressive tally of 33 goals, found the net early in the match against Arsenal. He converted a pass from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia just four minutes into the game. However, his performance was cut short when he had to leave the field with 20 minutes remaining.
In the post-match press conference, Luis Enrique addressed Dembélé’s condition. While not overly concerned, he acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding the player’s availability for the return fixture. “It’s not a major issue, but rather a minor one. However, there is some doubt about his participation in the second leg,” the Spanish coach stated.
Enrique also mentioned that Dembélé would undergo medical tests on Wednesday to determine the extent of his hamstring injury. The results of these examinations will likely play a crucial role in deciding whether the forward will be fit to face Arsenal in the crucial upcoming match.
