Parma and Torino Share Points in Serie A Thriller

Mateo Pellegrino scored two goals, helping Cristian Chivu’s Parma secure a point in a 2-2 draw against Torino. Torino had initially taken the lead twice through Eljif Elmas and Che Adams.

Parma, under Chivu, previously defeated Bologna in his debut match but then suffered a defeat against Udinese. They are currently facing an injury crisis with several key players sidelined. Torino entered the game on the back of two consecutive wins but were also missing important players due to injuries.

The match kickoff was slightly delayed as Parma fans threw streamers onto the pitch, particularly around Torino’s goalkeeper’s area.

Early in the game, attempts from Cristiano Biraghi and Emanuele Valeri were narrowly off target.

Torino drew first blood when January signing Elmas scored. Casadei initiated a counter-attack, passing to Elmas on the left, who then skillfully cut inside Delprato and curled a right-footed shot past Suzuki, hitting the far post before going in.

Parma struggled to respond until a dramatic sequence just before halftime. Following a corner, Milinkovic-Savic initially fumbled a header from Vogliacco, then blocked Bonny’s attempt, Adams cleared Delprato’s shot off the line, and finally, Valenti’s header bounced off the crossbar.

Adams missed a chance to extend Torino’s lead, curling a shot just wide. Parma then equalized in the 60th minute. Valeri delivered a pass from the left to Mateo Pellegrino, who controlled the ball and fired a low, powerful shot into the net from around 12 yards.

Torino regained the lead when Lazaro headed down a free kick, and Vlasic’s pass deflected off Maripan, finding Adams who scored.

However, Pellegrino once again brought Parma level, heading in a corner at the near post, getting ahead of Adams.

Parma pressed for a winning goal towards the end, with Man shooting just wide.
