Parma Faces Setback, but Club Maintains Faith in Pecchia

Parma experienced another significant home defeat, leading to fan protests at the Tardini stadium. However, the club’s stance remains unchanged: “We’re moving forward with Fabio Pecchia.”

The team suffered a 3-1 loss to Lecce in the 23rd round of Serie A. Despite both the team and coach facing intense criticism from supporters, this setback hasn’t altered the club’s plans.

Mauro Pederzoli, Parma’s sporting director, confirmed this in a post-match interview with DAZN: “Clearly, this is a disappointing evening, different from what we anticipated. The atmosphere is somber, and we recognize we’re in a challenging period. However, we’re confident in our ability to compete and achieve our goals.”

When questioned about potential issues with less experienced players, Pederzoli acknowledged: “We have a young squad with many promising but inexperienced players. We clearly need to improve and become more tactically astute. I understand the fans’ frustration, and we always respect their opinions. We must continue working hard.”

Regarding Pecchia’s position, Pederzoli stated: “Pecchia’s mood mirrors ours – it’s a difficult evening. However, this doesn’t diminish our faith in our coaching staff. We need to face these challenges with even greater determination and focus on our strengths and identity.”
