Despite turning 38 soon, Pedro Rodriguez has expressed his desire to extend his stay at Lazio for another year. The veteran forward made these comments after helping his team secure a crucial 1-1 draw against Juventus in their pursuit of Champions League qualification.
The match at Stadio Olimpico was a tense affair, reflecting the high stakes for both teams who were level on points in fourth place prior to the game. Juventus took the lead through Randal Kolo Muani, but Lazio managed to equalize in the 96th minute thanks to substitute Matias Vecino.
Pedro, speaking to the media after the match, said: “We put in a tremendous effort in the second half and finally got the goal we deserved. It`s disappointing we couldn`t get the win in front of our fans, but it`s a valuable point.”
The result keeps Lazio and Juventus tied for fourth place, though AS Roma could overtake both if they win their upcoming match against Atalanta. With only two rounds of matches remaining, the race for Champions League spots is set to go down to the wire.
“We have two more games, including one against Inter Milan. If we want to secure our position, we need to deliver outstanding performances,” Pedro added.
Pedro`s Future at Lazio

Pedro himself seems eager to continue, stating: “I`m very happy with this team and the coach, who has shown great faith in me. I would like to stay here for another year.”
