Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is likely to be absent from Olympique de Marseille’s crucial game against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday, according to reports.
The Danish midfielder sustained a foot injury last week, causing him to miss training sessions. Despite the injury, he played in the match against RC Lens, which Marseille lost 1-0, attempting to overcome the pain.
However, the problem persists, and reports indicate that Højbjerg has not trained this week. Consequently, it’s highly improbable that he will be available for this season’s final Le Classique.
Adding to concerns, Højbjerg was selected for the Danish national team for their upcoming Nations League quarter-final matches against Portugal scheduled for March 20th and 23rd. His participation in these international fixtures is now also uncertain due to the injury.
